I am a passionate sustainability leader whose work over the past five years has focused on sustainability policy and strategic initiatives. Over the past decade, I have served as a board member and senior executive, representing the maritime transport sector in UN, European and international regulatory and industry fora. I bring more than 20 years of experience addressing key sustainability and operational challenges across transportation and supply chains, energy and commodities, and related industries, underpinned by a PhD in maritime transport.

I have introduced ESG at board level, successfully transformed and grown an international organisation, and influenced sustainability and regulatory agendas across a global industry.

I am a highly organised and dependable senior executive with established professional stature, developed through extensive engagement with international regulators, industry stakeholders and corporate leaders.

With a strong technical foundation as an engineer and a multidisciplinary background spanning operations research, international business, and corporate responsibility, I combine strategic leadership with a proven ability to manage teams, deliver results, maintain a broad policy perspective, and remain focused on the bigger strategic challenges.

I hold the position of Director / Secretary General of INTERCARGO since Oct. 2016. During my time, the Association’s membership has more than doubled to currently bringing together more than 450 forward thinking companies from over 35 countries in uniting and promoting quality dry bulk shipping.

I am a Fellow of the Institute of Corporate Responsibility and Sustainability (FICRS) since 2025.
